Robert “Bob” Ned Brown 1947-2013
SUBLETTE — Robert “Bob” Ned Brown, 65, died unexpectedly on Jan. 5 at his home in Sublette. Born Dec. 30, 1947, in Great Bend, he was the son of Ned M. and Harriet F. Grove Brown. A former resident of Larned, he was a 1965 graduate of Larned High School and Hutchinson Junior College and attended Fort Hays State University for two years. He was a well respected master artisan and carpenter.
Mr. Brown belonged to the First Presbyterian Church in Larned.
Survivors include his mother, Harriet Brown of Prairie Village; one brother, Michael G. Brown and wife D.J., of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Debra Jan Converse and husband Arlyn, of Leawood; three children, Amy, Lucas and Sean; two grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and friend Roxanne Beach. He was preceded in death by his father Ned M. Brown.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Morell Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Singer presiding. Inurnment will be at the Larned Cemetery.
