ENID, Okla. – Robert Rae “Bob” Rowe, 57, died Sept. 7, 2012 at his home in Enid, Okla.
He was born May 15, 1955 at Winfield, the son of Billie Rae and Patricia Joan (Sumner) Rowe.
He married Charlotte Rathbun July 20, 1974 at Great Bend. Mr. Rowe was an Enid, Okla. resident since 2006, coming from Great Bend. He was owner and operator of Rowe Wireline Service, from 2006 to 2011, when he sold the business to Pioneer Energy, where he was district manager. He was a part of the First Southern Baptist Church family, Great Bend, and a member of the Oakwood Country Club and Oilman’s Club, both of Enid. He was a devoted, loving husband, dad, papa, brother and uncle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and cars. He was a dependable, honorable, kind-hearted man.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Rowe, of the home; a daughter, Misti Schmidt and her husband Monte, Enid, Okla; a son, Robert “Bobby” Rowe and his wife Danielle, San Antonio; two brothers, Bill Rowe and his wife Brenda, Wichita; Greg Rowe and his wife Jo, Great Bend; a sister, Kris Smolik and her husband Ken, Great Bend; five grandchildren, Ashton Schmidt, Cassidie Schmidt, Dalton Rae Rowe, Brooke Rowe and Katelyn Rowe.
He was preceded in passing by his parents.
A Funeral Service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend with The Reverend Dr. Doyle Smith officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
A Memorial Fund has been established for First Southern Baptist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
