GREAT BEND - Samuel Duane McNett, 72, passed away July 2, 2020, at his home in Great Bend. He was born October 25, 1947, at Great Bend, to Maynard & Clara (Weber) McNett. He married Glennis F. Lamb on October 14, 1973, at Great Bend. She died January 19, 2012. 

A lifetime Great Bend resident, Samuel was a refrigeration maintenance tech at Great Bend Packing. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing cards, watching westerns, wrestling and his son’s motocross races. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.  

Survivors include, two sons, Mark McNett, and Jesse McNett and wife Becky, all of Great Bend; four grandchildren, Mickie McNett, Randy McNett, Mackenzie Klett, and Shaylyn McNett; and three great grandchildren, Sawyer Klett, Aaron Klett, Jr., and Reese Klett. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Glennis McNett; a son, Mickie “Mick” McNett; and a brother, Maynard McNett. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2020 at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Golden Belt Memorial Park, Great Bend, with Father Don Bedore presiding. Memorials are suggested to the Samuel McNett Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
