Sara Lynn Hames, 48, passed away Dec. 15, 2021, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born on Aug. 18, 1973, at Great Bend, to John Mills and Betty Lou (Whaley) Reed.
A lifetime resident of Great Bend, Sara was a long time employee of Pizza Hut, previously working at Papa Murphy’s. Her love for horses, dogs and cats were demonstrated through her vet tech studies, western leisure riding, and dog and cat shows.
She was a member of Grace Community Church.
Survivors include, two sons, Christopher Reed and Sean Hames; three daughters, Marissa Reynolds and husband Jason, Lindsay Hames and Jesse Hames and fiancé Zackary Lisenko all of Great Bend; two brothers, Lloyd Reed and wife Pam of Garfield and Mark Reed and wife Angie of Great Bend; two sisters, Susan Davis and husband Frank of Whitesboro, Texas, and Mary Zerr and husband Mark of Oakley; five grandchildren, Leslie Reynolds, Lana Reynolds, Haven Hames, Rylan Hames and Finley Lisenko. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John Reed.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., Dec. 17, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Jay Beuoy presiding. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend. Memorials have been designated to the Sara Hames Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
