HOISINGTON — Shirley L. Jones, 60, died Feb. 25 at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. Born Feb. 12, 1952 in Topeka, she was the daughter of Alois and Pauline (Waldschmidt) Kisner. On May 17, 1969 she married William Clayton Jones in Hoisington. A long time resident of Hoisington, coming from Ellis, she was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, William C. Jones, of the home; two sons, Shannon Jones and William Jones, Jr., both of Hoisington; one daughter, Rebecca L. Starkey and husband Jess of Hoisington; and five grandchildren, Seth Jones, Sawyer Starkey, Jessica Starkey, Taylor Jones and Madison Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rita Brown and Zita Davis; and infant son, J. D. Jones.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hoisington with Father Francis Oroffa officiating. Interment will be at the St. John Church Cemetery in Hoisington. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, with a vigil service at 7 p.m., all at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
