Sinh Thi Nguyen, 93, died Dec. 17 at home in Great Bend. Born Oct. 2, 1919 at Hanoi, Vietnam, she was a daughter to mother Chuc Nguyen.  In 1937, she married Lam V. Tran in Hanoi, where she was a homemaker. He died in 1962. She came to the United States after the fall of Saigon, Vietnam in 1975, and she became a resident of Great Bend. She was of the Buddhist Faith.     
Survivors include a son, Sunny Tran, Great Bend; three daughters, Thanh T. Wesley and husband Jack, and Linh Reiter and husband Bob, both of Great Bend, and Kristine Khanh Roquemore and husband David, Richmond, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Hai D. Tran, and a daughter, Diem T. Tran, and six other children missing after the fall of Saigon, Vietnam.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Phat Hoa Temple, Wichita. Inurnment will be in Phap Hoa Temple. Memorials may be made to Phap Hoa Temple, Wichita, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
