PHILLIPSBURG – Stacy Ann Berends, 36, died Aug. 30, 2013, at Phillipsburg. She was born Dec. 21, 1976, in Kansas City. She was a resident of Hill City and the Philipsburg area for the past 10 years. She was a mother and a homemaker.
She attended the First Baptist Church of Larned.
In 2011, she married Kenneth Berends in Hill City. He survives.
Other survivors include; a daughter, Abigail Wanker, of the home; her parents, George and Kay Joseph-Elmore, Larned;  a brother, Scott Elmore, Park City; a sister, Christina (Mike) Arnone, Kearny, Mo.; Grandparents, Jack and Louise Elmore, Rozel, and Mary Joseph, Garden City.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Gilbert Joseph.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4 at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Dave Clapham presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned. Memorials may be given to the Abby Wanker Educational Fund in care of Beckwith Mortuary, 916 Main St. Larned.
