Sylvia E. Calvert, 69, died Dec. 7,2015, at home in Great Bend.  Born July 5, 1946 at Wild Cherry, Ark., she was the daughter of O. O. “Bill” and Versie (Chism) Staggs.
Sylvia married Donald Lee Calvert May 7, 1965, at Larned.  He died Feb. 25, 2005. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Calvert was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1962, coming from Calico Rock, Ark. She was a former Cub Scout and Sunflower Diversified Services volunteer.
Survivors include two sons, Rickey A. Calvert and his wife Edy of Great Bend, and Donald I. Calvert of Great Bend; four sisters; four brothers; and two grandchildren, Kyra L. Calvert and Rickey K. Calvert.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 10, at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Don Paden as the officiant. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from  9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 9, and 9 a.m. to service time, Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at Bryant Funeral Home.
