CHASE — Taylor Grace Gardea, age 4 years, of Chase, Kan., passed away on Friday, Dec. 24, 2021 at the Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kan. after a brief illness. Taylor was born on Aug. 24, 2017 at Salina, Kan. to Juan Gardea III and Gina Arevalo. She loved riding her bike, Hot Wheels cars, playing in the dirt, and especially loved Spiderman and going to Grandma’s house.
Survivors include her parents, Juan Gardea III and Gina Arevalo, two twin brothers Juan and Ismael and two sisters Tori and Yazlenny all of Chase, Kan.; her grandparents Anita (and Marin) Loya of Great Bend, Kan., Judy (and Louis) Marceca of Topeka, Kan. and Juan Gardea Jr. (and Blanca) of Earth, Texas; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Taylor was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Rudy Campos, Juan Gardea Sr. and Romelia Venzor; her great-aunt Patty Reynolds; her great-uncle Ricardo Arevalo; and cousins Marla Elizabeth Garcia and Marcy Garcia.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021 at Charter Funerals in Great Bend, Kan. with Father Aneesh Parappanattu officiating. Interment will follow in the Great Bend Cemetery North in Great Bend, Kan. Visitation will be at Charter Funerals in Great Bend from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m.on Thursday.
