GREAT BEND — Taylor Rae Langen, 18, died Jan. 8, 2013 at Great Bend Regional Hospital.
Born June 5, 1994 in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Joel and Angelina “Angie” (Grow) Langen. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, she was employed by Sunflower Diversified Services in residential care. She was currently working towards her CNA and CMA designations. She enjoyed writing stories, poetry, and sketching.
Survivors include her father, Joel Langen, Valley Center; her mother, Angie Langen, Ellinwood; step-father, George VanSteenburgh, Great Bend; grandparents, Carol Langen, Azle, Texas; Renita Chasteen, Cassville, Mo.; Tim Brizzolara, Aurora, Colo.; and Elaine Imler, Great Bend; three half brothers, Conley Barnes-Langen, Goodland; Cody VanSteenburgh, Great Bend; and Tim VanSteenburgh, Ellinwood; and a half sister, Paige VanSteenburgh, of the home.
She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Larry Gene Grow, Paul Langen, and David Imler.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at CrossPoint, 2200 Broadway in Great Bend with Pastor Mike Joiner and Pastor Dwight Dozier officiating. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Bryant Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Camp Discovery or Ronald McDonald House, in care of the funeral home.
