GALATIA — Todd A. Eveleigh, 56, died May 20, 2020, at his home near Galatia, Kan. He was born June 16, 1963, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Robert and Lorrayne (Mills) Eveleigh. In 1981 Todd graduated from Great Bend High School.
On June 30, 1984, he married Margaret Hammeke in Great Bend, Kan. To this union were born two children, Bobby and Katie. They later divorced.
Todd was a self-employed truck driver of Eveleigh Trucking. He was a member of Foundry United Methodist Church and BOCK, Bikers of Central Kansas. A motorcyclist enthusiast, Todd often wrote for Thunder Roads magazine. He loved hunting and was an amazing cook, especially known for his BBQ.
He is survived by his children Bobby Eveleigh and wife Ploy of Melbourne, Fla., and Katie Nelson and husband Nick of Wilson; parents, Bob and Lorrayne Eveleigh of Great Bend; a sister, Michelle Eveleigh; three grandchildren, April Eveleigh, and Braden and Blaine Nelson; and his beloved dog, Tanker.
Per Todd’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m., June 20, 2020, at Foundry Methodist Church, Great Bend, with Pastor Aaron Withrow presiding.
