TOPEKA — Vera A. O’Brien, 90, of Topeka, Kan., passed away on Aug. 11, 2021 at her home.

She was born on Sept. 23, 1930 in WaKeeney, Kan. She had been a resident of Topeka since 1977 having moved from Great Bend, Kan. She married Earl O’Brien on Feb. 13, 1950 in Great Bend. She was a Telephone Operator for Southwestern Bell for 39 years.

Vera is preceded in death by her husband Earl; both of her parents; one sister, Violet Young; and her long time best friend Goldie Kooser. She is survived by a host of extended family.
