Vivian Victoria Roberts 1917-2016

LARNED – Vivian Victoria Roberts, 99, passed away on Oct. 13, 2016 at Diversicare of Larned. Born Aug. 11, 1917 at Halstead, she was the daughter of Cornelius C. and Elizabeth V. (Schmidt) Koehn.
A former resident of Macksville, she worked as a dietician for Macksville Schools and managed the Macksville City Swimming Pool for several years. Her memberships include Rebekah’s Lodge and Halstead Mennonite Church. On July 28, 1938 she married Henry Elmer Roberts at Alva, Okla. He died on July 22, 2007.
She is survived by three daughters, Beverly K. Fenwick, Larned, Karen Holder (Roy), Tulsa, Okla., Patsy Demel, Hoisington; two sisters, Vada Crain, Topeka, Nola Joyce Dent, Newton; a step-daughter, Cynthia Christiansen, Texarkana, Ark.; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lee Roberts; a step-son, Fred Roberts; two sisters, Lucille Jantz and Cornelia Cotton; a brother, Cecil Dale Koehn.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, with Pastor Tom Harrison presiding. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m., Tuesday at Minnis Chapel, 526 E. 4th, St. John. Memorials may be given to the Larned EMS in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
