CONCORDIA — Wanda Leigh Davenport, age 88, passed away at the Hospice House in Hutchinson on Jan. 14, 2019.
She was born on July 14, 1930, in Enid, Okla. to Leonard A. and Millie M. (Decker) Maphet.
Wanda is survived by four sons, Harlan G. Davenport and wife Barbara, Great Bend, Kan.; Gary L. and wife Susan, Carbondale, Kan.; Joel A and wife Jeannette, Hutchinson, Kan.; and Darren C. and wife Deborah, Nederland, Colo. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Pat Maphet, Enid, Okla., Jean Crouse, Belleville, Kan., and Joan Crouse, Lenoir City, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family greeting from 7-8 p.m., all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia. Graveside services at the Chester City Cemetery, Chester, Neb. at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, and the family will hold a Memorial service on June 8, 2019, in Hutchinson, Kan.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson or the Lion and Lamb Church, Topeka in care of the funeral home.
