Wandalee Lavaugn (Kearns) Grizzell 1924 - 2017

PRATT — Wandalee LaVaugn (Kearns) Grizzell, 92, passed away May 28, 2017, at Pratt Rehab and Residence Center. She was born on Dec. 2, 1924, in Pratt County, the daughter of William A. and Martha Ethel (Johnson), Kearns. A life-long resident of the Macksville area, she was a homemaker and farmers wife. On April 4, 1943, she married Chester Junior Grizzell at rural Macksville. He passed away in 2011.
Her memberships include, Grace United Methodist Church, UMW, OES, Contemporary Homemakers EHU, VIP’s, Pinochle and Bridge Clubs all of Macksville.
She is survived by two sons, Rodger Grizzell (Connie), Pratt, and Kirk Grizzell (Debbie), Macksville; five grandchildren, Michell Welch (Kevin), Heather Hutchison (Curtis), April Cleveland (Chad), Travis Grizzell (Pamela), Kyle Grizzell (Jody); 12 great-grandchildren, Megan Schnoebelen (Kade), Colin and Jordan Welch, Kilee, Kayla and Kendell Hutchison, Brianna and Jason Cleveland, Elizabeth Heimann (Scott), Rebecca Channell, Jameson and Beckett Grizzell; and two great-great-grandchildren, Aspen Welch and Victoria Heimann. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband; and two sisters, Geraldine Shepard and infant Kathleen.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 2, at the Grace United Methodist Church, Macksville, with Pastor Jeff Mildren presiding. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Macksville, with family present from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Grace United Methodist Church or Kindred Hospice in care of the funeral home.
