William Joseph Robbins, 91, died June 7 at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend. Born Oct. 15, 1922, in Coldwater, he was the son of George and Catherine (McFadden) Robbins. On Aug. 6, 1992, he married Nadine L. Lorimor in Las Vegas, Nev. She died Jan. 29, 1999. A Great Bend resident since 1989, coming from Tuscon, Ariz., and Comanche County, he was an accountant for H&R Block and farmed in Comanche County. He enjoyed watching sports.
Survivors include close friends Joan Laraby and her family of Great Bend. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence E. Robbins; and three sisters, Mary Milhon, Agnes Robbins, and Catherine Robbins.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11 at Great Bend Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
