President Obama “didn’t know” his IRS was targeting conservative groups, successfully impeding their ability to promote policies he opposes.
President Obama “didn’t know” over 50 percent of Americans would not be able to keep their health insurance plans or doctors they trust.
President Obama “didn’t know” the NSA was spying on fellow Americans, over three dozen foreign leaders and millions of foreigners.
Is Obama really a Kennett Square mushroom, living in the dark and being fed manure or is he lying?
The IRS scandal is the only one of these imbroglios to which the President can reasonably claim plausible deniability.
While it’s been widely reported that members of his administration knew of the IRS abuse, there are currently no confessions or paper trail proving this program to subvert political discourse originated with the President himself.
The NSA and Obamacare scandals were, indeed, known to President “I know nothing” Obama.
The German paper Bild am Sonntag dove with fervor into the story of Obama’s NSA tapping the cell phones of Germany’s Chancellor, Angela Merkel. They quote an NSA official who said President Obama not only knew of the spying, he “escalated” the program after being personally briefed by General Keith Alexander, Director of the NSA.
Shortly thereafter, Obama called the New York Times to say he knew nothing.
While pretending President Obama didn’t know may be a warm comfy intellectual blanket for hard core supporters, don’t you want the President to know such intel?
What confidence would you have in a President whose agency chiefs and cabinet secretaries run secret operations against heads of state without informing our own head of state?
Why would he lie about it?
I don’t know. Perhaps he feels playing “victim politics” is politically profitable. Perhaps it’s worked for him in the past.
The “outrage” from foreign leaders is just as specious. Everyone spies on everyone else. Obama just got caught. He knew. I would expect our President to not only know but to have a say in such spying and to demand daily reports.
Saying he “doesn’t know” is as believable as saying, “The dog ate my morning security briefing.” Now, he’s saying he’s reviewing the program.
To what end? If he’s lying about knowing of the program, which I hope he is, there’s no reason to believe him when he says he’ll change the program in some way. If he really didn’t know about the program until it was revealed by Edward Snowden and journalists’ investigations, then why would the NSA would suddenly decide to obey him now? They didn’t respect him enough to inform him before.
President Obama says he “didn’t know” ObamaCare would deny millions of Americans their affordable, efficient health insurance policies. He told millions of Americans dozens of times, “You can keep your health plan. Period. You can keep your doctor. Period.”
News reporters have now confirmed that President Obama knew in 2010 that an IRS regulation promulgated by the Department of Health and Human Services estimated millions of Americans would not be able to keep their plans under Obamacare.
The estimate was up to 67 percent would lose their health insurance policies due to ObamaCare.
Responding to being caught in yet another lie, Obama spokesweasel Jay Carney oozed, “What the president said and what everybody said all along is that there are going to be changes brought about by the Affordable Care Act to create minimum standards of coverage, minimum services that every insurance plan has to provide. So it’s true that there are existing healthcare plans on the individual market that don’t meet those minimum standards and therefore do not qualify for the Affordable Care Act.”
Go to YouTube today and search for that. Good luck. What you will find are plentiful videos of President Obama unequivocally promising, “You will keep your insurance policy. You will keep your doctor.”
Was he ignorant of his signature legislation’s attributes or did he lie?
Was he ignorant of his wide ranging spy program or did he lie?
Will Democrats ignore the President’s incompetence (or deceptiveness) or will they choose to live in denial about his behavior?
