Dear Editor,
The current problems in our economy are hard on everyone, particularly the farmers and ag industries. The petroleum industry faces uncertain times and small businesses struggle. We rely heavily on these endeavors in Barton County. We need people at all levels of government to exercise good judgment when deciding how to use our tax money.
As a long time Barton County business owner, I would like to throw my support for sheriff behind Lt. Brian Bellendir. Brian has a no nonsense work ethic that we need in county government. He is smart, experienced and knows how to get the job done. He will use his law enforcement experience, commitment and integrity to make Barton county’s sheriffs department an efficiently-managed unit that protects our communities while operating in a financially responsible manner and holding officers to the highest ethical standards.
I am asking you to join me in voting for Lt. Brian Bellendir on August 7th. He understands the needs of our local businesses and will take care of our tax dollars while he keeps us safe.
