Dannebohm would be good representative

Dear Editor,
I’m writing to thank the voters of Rice, Barton, Pawnee, Stafford, and Pratt for your support these past two years, I’m honored and humbled that you have chosen me to serve as your State Representative. I would also like to take this time to introduce you a gentleman whom I hope will earn your vote to become the next State Representative of the 113th, J. Basil Dannebohm.
A great leader aspires to do more than simply accomplish his or her objective, in observation, I believe this to be akin to one of many core philosophies of candidate Dannebohm. As an individual passionate about preserving our rural way of life, Basil has implemented and sustained numerous programs that have proven beneficial to several Kansas communities.
Over the years that I’ve known Basil, I feel the old Welsh Proverb, “He who would be a leader must also be a bridge.” best personifies his civic work. I have seen firsthand the determination, vision, and cooperative spirit in Dannebohm that will not only enrich the fabric of our community in the 113th District, but also bring local leaders together for its sustained prosperity. There was a clear reason I brought Basil on board as my chief of staff in the Kansas House, he has my full confidence, and after your first encounter with him, I know he will have yours too – he listens, he cares, he will get things done.
In the coming weeks and months, you will get to meet candidate Dannebohm as he crosses the district and continues to learn about the needs and concerns in each of our communities. He has committed to making it a top priority both during the campaign, and, God willing, after he takes office, to visit each community in the district on a regular and frequent basis. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to him directly if you have any issues, concerns, or suggestions that you would like to discuss. Not only will you find him to be one of the most approachable individuals you have ever met, but you will also learn that he is a gifted problem solver and skilled listener. I look forward to working together with Dannebohm while I am across the hall in the Kansas Senate. Together, we can work to strengthen our communities and move our District and Kansas forward.
Dannebohm’s experience and leadership speak for themselves. If you’ve not already done so, I encourage you to visit www.dannebohm.com and read his endorsements, listed under the “what they’re saying” tab.
As for me, these part two years have been some of the best years of my life. Getting to know each of you has truly been a pleasure and I am grateful for the time we’ve had together. After careful consideration, I felt it was time to take my service to Kansas to the next level and advance my leadership to the Kansas Senate. I’m hopeful that you have been pleased with the work I have done on behalf of the 113th District. Furthermore, I am keenly aware that this race will not be easy – I am counting on people like you to account for my proven record of genuine leadership.
Humbly, I would ask for your prayers for Basil and me. To step forward and run for public office is by no means a glamorous thing. More than anything, we need your prayers during this time.
In conclusion, once again I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve you. I firmly believe that with Basil as your State Representative, you will be in secure, caring hands that have no reservations to fight for you in Topeka. Be assured of my prayers and good thoughts as we continue this journey.
