The League of Women Voters of Great Bend would like to thank the Great Bend Tribune for their sponsorship of the Candidates’ Forum at the Crest Theatre on July 19th. In addition to securing the Crest Theatre for the event, the forum was streamed live and followed by total coverage in the daily papers. Eagle Radio also provided live coverage of the event, sponsored by area businesses.
The candidates made time available to attend the event and unopposed candidates were there to be introduced and meet with voters.
A record number of voters found time to brave the heat and fill the Crest Theatre to hear and meet the candidates. Thanks to each of you for seeking information to make an informed vote!
Moderator Rose Kelly and our timers kept a brisk pace that provided equal time for each candidate.
We appreciate having the opportunity to provide nonpartisan information to area voters and to encourage everyone to vote on November 7th. It is gratifying to offer this service for everyone.
