Dear Editor,
Great Bend residents are fortunate to have Susan Young running for school board on April 7. In the time I worked with Mrs. Young at Lincoln School, I saw both new and experienced teachers seek Mrs. Young’s advice and guidance. Her sincerity, dedication, and active involvement in finding positive solutions made her a leader in our school and district. Whether addressing new curriculum requirements, reexamining our school calendar, or serving on NEA, Mrs. Young acted with the interests of the whole school community in mind. I know she will bring that same commitment and passion to the school board. Maintaining our schools’ educational excellence is her top priority. As a teacher in our district for over 25 years, Mrs. Young understands our district’s needs, challenges, and strengths. I hope you will join me in giving your vote to Susan Young on Election Day, April 7.
