Dear Editor,
Mr. Ken Harton, media specialist at the Great Bend Middle School has announced his retirement at the conclusion of this school year. Ken taught English at Roosevelt Junior High for 18 years while I was principal. He was a fine teacher at Roosevelt and contributed to our junior high school in various areas.      
After the closing of Roosevelt, he starting teaching at the Great Bend Middle School. After teaching at the middle school, for several years, he became the media specialist at the middle school.
I want to thank Ken for his 40 years in education to the middle school students of Great Bend. He always cared about the students and conducted himself as a true professional educator.
