Wondra is perfect person for Barton County Treasurer

Dear Editor,
I am writing to ask that you join me in re-electing Kevin Wondra as our Barton County Treasurer. Kevin has performed admirably throughout his tenure as treasurer. Kevin offers a multitude of talents that has garnered our county treasurer’s office outstanding audits under his leadership. He is a homegrown graduate of both GBHS and KSU with a Bachelors of Accounting. When he first took on the role of treasurer, he was generously offered training by his predecessor, Jan Karlin, and the existing staff. This has proved crucial in helping our treasurer’s office stay current with the ever changing demands of State laws and statutes. It is this experience that will assist our county with the current, State mandated, DMV software snafu that has created a long list of problems, yet to be solved.
Kevin has applied both dedication, and understanding to his duties as treasurer. His long hours include personally knocking on doors of delinquent accounts in order to give debtors one more chance to address their taxes before he adds their property to the list of sale parcels.
In his personal life, Kevin volunteers large amounts of his time to several different civic groups. He serves on the board of the Daniel Trickey Life Giving Center, the evening Lions club, has coached for the recreation commission, and has served on numerous church committees. He is committed to his community, his family, and friends.
He would be the first person to admit that he isn’t perfect, but he’s the perfect person for your Barton County Treasurer.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
