Donna Zimmerman put out the word this week, and it should be welcome word for anyone who wants to get a little taste of local involvement, without having to invest hours and hours.
County Election Officer Zimmerman needs some help on election day.
She is seeking volunteers who will serve as election board workers for the Nov. 2 general election.
It’s something that the volunteers can be filled in on between now and then, and it would be a good way to get involved in the election process.
All of us who want to make a difference in our community need to find ways we can reach into our community, and this is one of those opportunities.
It allows the volunteer to take another step into the decision-making process and get to be a part of what makes America heads and shoulders better than most nations.
