Barton closed out the win with five more in the fifth for the run-rule. Pomeroy ended the game four RBI on two hits and Fowler three RBI on three hits to pace the offense.
Barton once again jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning of the second game, scoring five times on the way to the 11-4 win.
The big-blow in that inning was a 3-run home run from Trenton Ferguson. Ferguson would finish 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBI.
Barton led just 5-3 in the fourth when the Cougars scored five more times to take the suspense out of the game.
