Barton baseball to hold skills camp in June

Baseball camp set

The Barton Community College baseball program in conjunction with the Big Bend Batters Box will conduct a 3-day baseball skills camp in June.

The camp will be held at Lawson-Biggs Field on the campus of Barton. The camp will run from June 8-10 in the morning. Camp time is set for 9 am to noon. Check in time will be 8:30 a.m. Age limits for the camp will run from 7-14 years.

The camp will focus on all aspects of the game. Cost is $50 per person if registered before June 1 and $65 after that date. Walk-ups will be welcome but pre-registration is encouraged.

The camp staff will consist of Barton head coach Brent Biggs, assistant coach Brett McBride and volunteer assistant Zach Dobbins. Roger Ward of the Big Bend Batters Box will also be an instructor as well as some local Barton baseball players.

In case of inclement weather the camp will be moved indoors to the indoor facility at Barton just north of Lawson-Biggs Field.
