The Barton Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams is set to start the NJCAA Region VI Basketball Tournament on Saturday.
The Cougars are the No. 12 seed of the tournament with a 20-10 record overall.
Barton’s men will travel to fifth-seeded Butler on Saturday. The game is set to start at 4 p.m.
Butler is 21-9 on the season.
The Lady Cougars are the No. 12 seed as well at 18-12 overall.
Barton’s women travel to Cowley, which is 22-8, for a 5:30 game on Saturday.

Barton softball team has games cancelled
The Barton Community College softball team has had its last six games cancelled.
Starting with last Tuesday’s slated meeting with Bethany College JV for a doubleheader, the Lady Cougars have gotten the entire week off.
Thursday’s games against Allen County has been cancelled, and Saturday’s doubleheader with McPherson College JV has been abandoned due to weather.
