Brown set to take over Barton mens soccer

Michael Brown has been selected to take over the Barton men’s soccer program.
Barton athletic director Trevor Rolfs confirmed the hiring of Brown but it will not become official until the Barton Board of Trustees approves his hiring at its next meeting.
Brown comes to Barton after serving time as an assistant coach at Central Arkansas University. In addition to his coaching duties with the Bears, Brown served as the Conway site director for the Arkansas Rush youth soccer program.
Prior to his time at the NCAA Division II school, Brown was an assistant coach for Iowa Western Community College.
Brown was with Iowa Western for two years. In his final year with the Reivers, the school went 25-0 and won the 2013 NJCAA National Championship. During his tenure with the program Iowa Western compiled a 42-1-1 mark.
Brown played college soccer at Benedictine College in Atchison from 2007-2010.
Brown’s hiring will be on the agenda to be approved at the April 26 meeting of the Trustees.
