As a special “Kick Off” event for the “half century” observance of “50 Years of Rodeo at Fort Hays State University” occurring in 2016, a special travel experience has been created and will be sponsored by alumni of the FHSU Rodeo Club.
It is a tour to Las Vegas on Dec. 12-15 to enjoy the final three days of the National Finals Rodeo.  Rodeo Club Alumni, their family, and all friends of the University are welcome to participate.
Details will be revealed in a special 22-minute online “Picture Yourself Here” travelogue Thursday June 13 at 5:30 pm CDT.  Fast moving commentary and photographs will provide details and no-obligation information that you can hear and view via the comfort and privacy of your personal computer.  Your seat for this informative presentation can be requested and reserved by contacting Tigers@TravelPleaseGoAway.com.
The tour will be hosted by Rodeo Club alumni, Marcy Aycock – ’84 and Steven Knowles –’89.  As part of the extra included bonuses, a private “admission by ticket only” breakfast will be hosted by Rodeo Club Alumni.  Special guests at the breakfast will be Miss Rodeo Kansas, Kara Hackney and FHSU Rodeo Club team coach and the timed-event chute boss of the National Finals Rodeo, Bronc Rumford.  Attendees will be able to ask questions and take advantage of photo opportunities.
Known as the “World Series of Rodeo” and the “Super Bowl of Rodeo,” the national finals are the final event of the PRCA season with World Championship titles being awarded to the individuals who earn the most money in his or her event.
The “World All-Around Rodeo Champion Cowboy” title is also awarded at the end of the NFR to the highest-earning cowboy who has regularly competed in more than one event during the year.  Because of the large amount of money awarded during the Finals, the leader in an event going into the Finals competition is frequently dethroned.
Because of the extreme popularity of the event all seats for all events sell out early, requiring early reservations.  The overall program of this special travel experience has been created in such a way that every participant can “pick and choose” that which they want to do.  These special arrangements allow for maximum enjoyment of one of the most exciting cities in the world, along with participants being able to select the rodeo events and types of seating desired.
Tour members will also receive the benefits of an “included” dual protection program of a “100% Reservation Deposit Refund Guarantee,” providing for cancellations “for any reason” until August 12, 2013 and a 100% cash refund of reservation deposits paid.  After August 12 cancellations can still take place “for covered reasons” and protection will be provided by the included “Travel Protection Insurance.”
In addition to having an exciting and memorable experience, tour participants will also be supporting the programs of the Rodeo Club and the University.
