NEWTON – Once again the Barton Community College men’s golf team played well.  Very well in fact. In the end, yet again, it found itself in fifth place in a Jayhawk Conference meet.

The final meet of the conference season – 54-hole event over two days – wrapped up at Sand Creek Station in Newton Tuesday with Barton shooting its best round of the season. In fact it was the best round in the Cougars had shot under Coach Doug Kaiser – a 298.
