WICHITA — The Barton Community College men’s golf team finished fourth at a Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference tournament at Auburn Hills Golf Course on Monday.
The Cougars claimed fourth with a score of 628, falling behind Johnson County, Dodge City and Hutchinson.
Barton head coach Doug Kaiser said his team has improved a lot since last year.
“We had three guys in the top 20,” Kaiser said. “Last year, we might have had one in the top 40, so we’ve definitely gotten better.”
Jeremie Eloy was the top finisher for Barton, shooting a 153 during the 36-hole event for 11th place.
The Cougars travel to Manhattan on Sunday, Oct. 7, for the final KJCCC tournament before the winter break.
