April showers will bring May flowers. April showers also delayed the KCAC Softball Championship until Thursday at the Great Bend Sports Complex.

Tabor College won last year’s KCAC Tournament Championship with a 5-1 victory over Ottawa after losing 4-0 in the first championship game.

Avila, Mo. vs. York, Neb. (2 p.m.)

The Eagles (26-14) recorded a 20-4 conference record in their first season in the KCAC. Avila shared the regular season championship with McPherson College. The Eagles closed the season 8-2. 

The York College Panthers (10-28) were 10-14 in the conference. The Panthers went 4-6 in their last ten games of the regular season. Avila went 2-0 against York in the regular season. 

Ottawa vs. Tabor (5 p.m. Barton Community College)

Ottawa (24-18) finished 16-8 in conference play. Tabor (16-18) finished 13-11 in the KCAC.

The Bluejays finished the regular season by going 7-3. Ottawa won the first game 9-0, while the Bluejays took the second game 10-2 April 27.

Friends vs. Bethany (6 p.m.)

Friends (24-18) finished 17-7 in the KCAC. The Falcons won their final four games. Bethany (19-27) ended 11-13 in KCAC play. The teams split the two games they played against one another.

McPherson vs. Kansas Wesleyan (4 p.m.)

McPherson went 31-14 in the regular season, including a 20-4 mark in the conference. The Bulldogs ended the regular season on a five-game winning streak. Kansas Wesleyan went 18-22 overall in the 2018-2019 softball season, with a 11-13 record against KCAC opponents. In their last ten contests, the Coyotes went 5-5, including a sweep of Sterling College to end the regular season. McPherson took both games against Kansas Wesleyan in their matchups in the regular season.
