Lady Cougars take 11th place at national level

The Barton Community College women’s golf team posted a 381 in the final round on Thursday at the National Junior College Athletic Association Women’s Golf Championship held at Longbow Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz.
The Lady Cougars jumped over two teams on the final day, finishing 11th overall.
Maddie Sherman took home team bragging rights, posting a 93 for the second consecutive day to finish the four-day tournament with 376. She tied for 77th overall.  
Kara Koepplin posted the Lady Cougars’ final-round low score of 92 to finish second on the team and 82nd overall at 378.
Staisha Miller concluded her week of rounds by closing with a 99, finishing 87th with a 384 while Kaylee Crawford remained tied for 93rd at 390.
