RUSSELL — Central Plains all-stater Emily Ryan scored 30 points as the No. 1 ranked Oilers roared past Wheatland 82-22 Friday to win their state record 134th consecutive basketball game, tying for the third-longest streak in U.S. girls history. The Oilers are tied with Duncanville, Texas and Butler Taylor County, Ga.

The Oilers (23-0) led 58-10 at halftime. Kassidy Nixon scored 10 points and Addison Crites netted nine points. Ryan dished out eight assists and Nixon had five steals. Ryan has scored 2,958 career points, third all-time behind Claflin's Jackie Stiles (3,663) and Laurie Koehn (3,160).

St. John (15-9) was paced by Erin Crissman with 15 points and Bree Meyer added 11 points. The Tigers converted 18 of 26 free throws, 15 in the second half. South Gray's Megan Tarn and Emma Jantz each scored seven points. The Rebels made six 3-pointers of their nine field goals.
