RUSSELL — Central Plains all-stater Emily Ryan scored 30 points as the No. 1 ranked Oilers roared past Wheatland 82-22 Friday to win their state record 134th consecutive basketball game, tying for the third-longest streak in U.S. girls history. The Oilers are tied with Duncanville, Texas and Butler Taylor County, Ga.
The Oilers (23-0) led 58-10 at halftime. Kassidy Nixon scored 10 points and Addison Crites netted nine points. Ryan dished out eight assists and Nixon had five steals. Ryan has scored 2,958 career points, third all-time behind Claflin's Jackie Stiles (3,663) and Laurie Koehn (3,160).
