Braves fall in Dodge City

The Great Bend American Legion Braves got swept by Dodge City on Tuesday night at Demon Field.
The Braves lost Game 1, 7-4, and Game 2, 12-2.
Great Bend drops to 4-4 on the season.
Brett Basye started on the mound in Game 1 for the Braves. He allowed six runs (four earned), five hits and four walks, while striking out one.
Dodge City got ahead early, scoring three runs both the first and second innings.
Great Bend responded in the third, scoring four runs to make it 6-4.
Unfortunately for the Braves, they couldn't dig out of the hole, getting five hits and stranding six baserunners.
Cory Burnham started Game 2 for Great Bend. He went 2 2/3 innings, allowing two hits and six walks. He had one strikeout.
Great Bend led 2-1 early on, but the game got away from the Braves.
