Braves finish rain-shortened tourney at 2-1

The Great Bend American Legion Braves played at the Marion Tournament on Saturday, but was rained out on Sunday before the tournament could be completed.
The Braves beat McPherson, 10-7 and Derby 8-5, but they lost to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 5-3.
Jacob Murray pitched Game 1, defeating Derby and improving to 2-0 on the season. He gave up four hits, walked five and gave up three runs while striking out one.
Great Bend had seven hits, nine walks.
Bryce Lytle was 3-for-3, leading Great Bend's offense. Braden Smith had a game-winning hit.
Against McPherson, Logan Perry started for the win. Dalton Bender relieved for the final two innings.
Perry is 1-0 on the season. He allowed seven walks, three hits and five earned runs. He had two strikeouts.
Bender allowed one walk and struck out one.
Great Bend had eight hits. Murray and Smith had two hits apiece.
Peyton Mauler pitched a complete game but recorded the loss to Bartlesville. He is now 0-1 on the season.
Mauler walked five, scattered five hits and allowed five runs, including two earned. He had five strikeouts.
Great Bend had seven hits with Lytle and Murray both having two hits.
Great Bend was the top team after Day 1,but Day 2 was canceled due to weather.
After the Marion Tournament the Braves improve to 4-2 on the season.
