The Great Bend Braves won a pair of games on Saturday at the Smoky Ford Woodbat Classic in Pratt.
The Braves topped Nickerson 15-5 and beat Pratt 11-6.
Against Nickerson, Keaton Reanu started on the mound, going the distance while allowing five runs (two earned), three hits and five walks, and striking out two.
Great Bend scored runs in each of the first four innings, getting led by Brayden Smith, who was 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and seven RBIs.
Peyton Mauler and Brett Basye went 2-for-2 with two RBIs, each.
Logan Perry started against Pratt for the Braves, giving up four runs and four walks while striking out one.
Bryce Kaiser came on in relief, walking five and allowing two unearned runs. He had two strikeouts.
Great Bend trailed 4-2 after one inning, but tacked on runs in each inning and totaling 10 hits to rally.
Smith went 2-for-3, and Jacob Murray and Bryce Lytle each went 2-for-4.
Great Bend, which finished the tournament in third place, left pool play in the lead, getting a bye into the semifinal game on Sunday, but they fell 7-4 in 12 innings.
