Central Kansas Hornets win state baseball championship

The Central Kansas Hornets are the USSSA 13-and-under AA State Baseball Champions.  
The Hornets participated in the 13U AA Tournament, which featured 50 teams.  
Play included a total of seven games over four days, including three of pool play games and four Championship Bracket games.   
The Hornet’s outscored their opponents 99-36 for the tournament.  
The Championship game was played against the 'Steal' team from Pittsburg, where the Hornets prevailed 23-7.  
The CK Hornets are comprised of young men from Hays, Great Bend, La Crosse and Victoria.  
Teammates include Koy Brack (Great Bend), Walker Braun (Victoria), Jesus Bujanda Jr (Great Bend), Blake Herrman (La Crosse), Brett Herrman (La Crosse), Zack Jacobs (Great Bend), Chance Perry (Great Bend), Cody Petersen (Hays), Trey Riggs (Hays), William Sennett (Hays) and Connor Teget (Hays).
They are coached by Cory Riggs, Glenn Herrman, Mike Perry and Kelly Brack.
In addition to winning the state tournament, the CK Hornets have also had other successes this season, winning the Summer Slam in Lawrence, which featured 22 teams, including teams from Kansas and Oklahoma, as well as winning a tournament in Dodge City.  
In the last month, their combined record is a perfect 24-0.  
The Hornets are looking forward to their next challenge the USSSA 13U AAA World Series.
