HOISINGTON  — Holt Hanzlick and Hunter Morris each scored two touchdowns as Hoisington rolled past Ellis 47-0 in Friday's 2A football playoff game. Hanzlick scored on a 60-yard touchdown on the first play and added a 1-yard TD. Morris scored on 3- and 20-yard runs. 

Mason Haxton, Joshua Ball and Cade Mason also scored touchdowns for the Cardinals. Wyatt Wikum and Joshua Ball recovered fumbles for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals (9-0) play Cimarron in next week's second round. Hanzlick rushed for 106 yards to spark a 303-yard rushing game.

CLAFLIN — Central Plains halfback Dawson McNeal scored three touchdowns to spark the Oilers past Peabody 50-0 in Thursday's Eight-Man 2 football playoffs. McNeal scored on runs of 15, 24 and 26 yards.

Oiler quarterback Michael Laymon scored on a 1-yard run and completed a 45-yard scoring pass to Karter Beck. Michael Menges scored on a 9-yard run. Cole Lamatsch scored on a game-clinching 53-yard punt return for a 50-0 score. Lamatsch intercepted a pass to spark the Oiler defense.

Central Plains (6-1) plays the Caldwell/Wilson winner in the second round. Peabody (5-4) ends with a winning record.

HUTCHINSON — Otis-Bison quarterback Kaden Foust rushed for two touchdowns and converted a touchdown pass in a hard-fought 43-32 non-district football loss Thursday to Hutchinson Central Christian. Otis-Bison (2-7) trailed 28-8, but rallied within 35-32 after scoring three touchdowns.

Foust scored on 2- and 37-yard runs. He completed a 19-yard scoring strike to Eston Juno. Christian Roth scored on a 72-yard kickoff return. Foust rushed for 90 yards and passed for 122 yards. The Cougars converted four successful 2-point plays.

Christian Roth intercepted two passes. Ky Schwartz and Nathan Roth each contributed 101/2 tackles. 

Central Christian's T.J. Bessmer scored on 8- and 30-yard runs and converted a 17-yard touchdown pass from Dawson Urwiller. The  Cougars gained 320 rushing yards. Urwiller rushed for 132 yards and Bessmer gained 104 yards.
