Great Bend Mayor Cody Schmidt is scheduled to deliver the ceremonial first pitch at 6:50 p.m. Office Products, Inc., Joiner Construction and Z’s Liquor will sponsor a community barbecue for 150 fans.

For information, visit the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page or call (620) 792-2401.

The Great Bend Bat Cats have shifted their first five home games to the Great Bend Sports Complex and Barton Community College due to construction issues at Al Burns Memorial Field.

“There are exciting things going on at Al Burns Memorial Field,” said Roger Ward, Bat Cats coach. “However, with all of the weather we've received our progress has been delayed. Thank you all for allowing us to play at your facilities.”
