Cougars' Morrison scores trio of touchdowns

RENO COUNTY 54, OTIS-BISON 20

OTIS – Otis-Bison Cougar Hayden Morrison enjoyed a career night with three touchdowns in a hard-fought 54-20 non-district football setback to the Reno County Sabres.

Morrison scored on 15- and 33-yard runs. His best play was a perfectly executed 48-yard screen pass from quarterback Jake Hoopingarner.  Morrison’s final score was a perfect pitchout from Hoopingarner. The Cougars reached the Reno County 1-yard line on another drive.

Reno County quarterback Bo Smith was spectacular with four touchdown passes. Speedy Lex Washington caught 13- and 33-yard scoring strikes and added a 21-yard touchdown run. Amos Lilyhorn and Mason Kingsley also caught touchdown passes.

Otis-Bison (0-7, 0-2 District) plays at Victoria (5-1, 2-0 District) next week.
