HAYS — Thanks to Fort Hays State, the KCAC Baseball Championship has found a one-day home.
“We had some major changes for the KCAC schedule, due to wet fields again. We had to move baseball to FHSU fields,” said Christina Hayes, city of Great Bend community coordinator.
The KCAC Baseball Championship is expected to return to the Great Bend Sports Complex Friday.
Wet field conditions delayed the start of the 2017 KCAC Baseball Championship scheduled Thursday through Saturday at the Great Bend Sports Complex.
The winner qualifies for the 2017 NAIA World Series May 26-June 2 at Lewiston, Idaho. Sterling College defeated York, Neb. 9-6 in last year’s championship.
