CONWAY SPRINGS — Cardinal quarterback Logan Osner scored a pair of touchdowns as No. 1 ranked Conway Springs held off pesky Ellinwood 34-21 in Friday's 1A District football game. The defending 1A state champions (7-0, 4-0) clinch the District title. Cardinal Grant Fisher iced the victory with a 10-yard touchdown.

Ellinwood played its best game of the season to lead 7-0 and 14-8. Landon Simpson, Cason Merritt and Drake Hosman scored touchdowns to keep the Eagles within 28-21.

Ellinwood (4-3, 1-3) must beat Medicine Lodge (4-2, 2-2) to qualify for the 1A playoffs.
