Ellinwood’s Ringwald wins singles title

LARNED – Ellinwood’s Evan Ringwald (4-0) defeated Cimarron’s Konner Smith to capture the Larned Tennis singles championship. All of the singles and doubles were bracketed together.

In doubles, Cimarron’s Landon Housman/David Mendez defeated Larned’s Matthew Figger/Jacob Colglazier, 6-0 in the championship match. In an oddity, Larned’s No. 3 doubles team of James Kingsbury/Landon Haney surprised their teammates Figger/Colglazier, 7-5.

Ellinwood (27) captured the team title ahead of Larned (24) and Cimarron (21).
