HOISINGTON – Victoria’s Brooklyn Kuhn scored the go-ahead basket and Lydia Sander converted a free throw as the Knights edged Ellsworth's girls 35-33 in Monday’s Hoisington Cardinal Winter Jam. Victoria (4-6) plays Otis-Bison in Friday's semifinals.
The hard-fought game swung back-and-forth after a 21-21 tie after three quarters. Macy Hammersmith's 3-pointer led to a 28-23 lead and Melany Huser's 3-pointer had Victoria up 31-27. Ellsworth's Brenna Pruitt hit a 3-pointer and Lakyn Tenbrink scored for a 32-32 tie.
