Ellinwood softball loses two

ELLINWOOD – Ellsworth powered past Ellinwood 24-0 and 23-4 in Monday’s non-league softball doubleheader. Ellsworth (6-2) delivered 28 hits. Ellinwood (0-6) travels to Russell Friday.

ELLSWORTH 24, EAGLES 0 (G1) – Ellsworth scored 12 runs in the first inning. Paitlyn Tenbrink drove home five runs. Greta Klein, Alexis Moore and Riley Rodriguez each drove home three runs.

Ellinwood’s Neveah Bowman singled for the Eagles’ hit.

ELLSWORTH 23, EAGLES 4 (G2) – Ellsworth’s L West drove home three runs and Klein and Johanna Lindsley each drove home two runs.

Ellinwood’s Keighyn Dombroski singled home Brittany Simpson and Emma Nienke. Nevaeh Bowman singled home Caylee Rowan. Kiley Stevenson scored on an Ellsworth error.
