The Great Bend Chiefs dropped a 2-1 decision to Dodge City in American Legion play Tuesday night. The Chiefs regrouped and defeated DC 7-4 in game two of the twinbill. Tristan Hall and Brett Bayse worked complete games in the series.

At 6-3 on the season, Great Bend will face Larned Friday night at the Great Bend Sports Complex at 8 p.m. in day one of the three-day, eight-team Chiefs Classic. The Chiefs will then face Inman Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lawson Biggs Field before playing TMP in an 8 p.m. nightcap at GBSC.

Semifinals begin at 10:30 Sunday morning with the championship at 3:30 p.m.
