The Great Bend Middle School 8th grade Boys Basketball teams coached by Kyle Kriegh and assisted by Matt Rorabaugh made easy work of the Holcomb Longhorns. The A team scored a 42-16 victory with 22 points, seven rebounds and three assists by Drew Nicholson.
On Thursday, the Panthers held off a last-minute shot by the Abilene Longhorns to post a 44-42 win staying perfect at home for the season.
The B team dominated Holcomb 48-13 led by Corbin Stanley with 14 points, seven rebounds and an assist.
The B team struggled with Abilene but with some last-minute shots falling, got a 27-21 win. Mason Miranda and Abner Chavez led the Panthers with Miranda scoring seven points and Chavez scoring six.
