Heat takes second in back-to-back tourneys
The Kansas Heat 14-and-under team from Hoisington played in the Hays softball tournament on May 31. In pool play, they beat Salina Shockwave, 14-7 and Salina Adrenaline, 6-5, getting them the top seed from their pool. They topped the Shockwave, 15-1, in the first round. They fell 5-4 against the Clay Center Bees in the championship game to finish second. The Heat also finished second last weekend in Larned.
