Hoisington, Larned, Ellinwood teams end season

Hoisington's boys, Larned's boys and Ellinwood's girls ended their basketball seasons Tuesday.

INMAN 43, ELLINWOOD GIRLS 39 – Ellinwood all-league Brittany Simpson scored 26 points in a valiant effort, but Inman’s girls rallied past Ellinwood 42-39 in Tuesday’s 2A Sterling basketball substate. Bella Baker added nine points for Ellinwood.

Inman’s Suttyn Harris scored 15 points and Maci Neufeld added 10 points.

LAKIN 63, LARNED 43 – Red-hot Colter Oldham scored 31 points and M.J. Gonzalez added 21 points to spark the Broncs past pesky Larned 63-43 in Tuesday’s 3A Lakin substate.

Larned’s Brady Hope scored 15 points, Braden Colglazier 10 points and Jacob Shaver added six. Larned (5-16) outscored Lakin 32-31 in the second half after trailing 32-11 at halftime.

BELOIT 74, HOISINGTON 40 – Hoisington’s Leyton Haxton closed out his senior season in style with a team high 16 points in a 74-40 loss to Beloit in the 3A Russell basketball substate. Tony Moore added 12 points, Chase Steinert three and Braxton Linsner two.

Beloit's Bryce Beisner scored 22 points with Quinn EIlert (12), Noah Gerstner (10) and Eli Johnson (10) scoring in double figures. The Trojans converted 10 of 17 3-pointers and 28 of 47 field goals
